Lili marleen
Isn't it funny in a strange way, that we fought
each other while singing the songs of the enemy?
We "germans", loved the tipperary song while you allies loved Lili Marleen.
Let's make sure these stupid wars will never happen again.......
And always remember, it's not the people, only our stupid leaders declare a war. ========================================= =========================================

Lili Marleen.
Do we now hold human life so precious in Europe ,
that WW2 truly was the war to end all wars
( mind they said that about WW1)
or will history
repeat itself a third time,
when the the same
conditions, that set the first two off
come about again ?
let's hope not, otherwise the next few years
or decades don't bare thinking about!BTW,
I think this video is a touching and
tasteful tribute to the German soldiers
who died in that foolish War.
The song was not originally a hit. It set to music a syrupy poem written by a Great War veteran about a romance with a girl he met outside his barracks. The Wehrmacht had appropriated Radio Belgrade's 10 MW shortwave transmitter. An officer was told to get some records to be played and he picked up six records in a second hand store in Vienna. Marc Lavoine & Souad Massi - Paris
==================
Je dedie cette tres belle chanson a mes ami(e)s amoureux de la ville des milles lumieres et de cette belle Seine qui coule lentement
